Women on the Rise Circle of Friends
The Women On The Rise Circle are committed patrons whose contributions enable the Women Network to continue to make a difference in our communities through our many programs and services.
Contributions can be made annually, monthly, or quarterly. We appreciate you becoming a part of the Women On The Rise Circle and continual support to the ongoing expansion of WN and our outreach to Women of Color and our communities.
Your pledge to the Women On The Rise Circle will provide essential resources to assist women in the Phoenix Program on the path to independence and a second chance and the Good Looking Out (GLO) Program which provides nonperishable healthy items to women with illnesses and comprised nutritional states.
The Phoenix Program is a three part charitable service based on a holistic approach to assist women who are transitioning/starting over, recently released from prison, leaving a shelter, finding independence from a domestic violence situation, etc.
The Good Looking Out program enables WN to provide healthy nonperishable food and other necessary related items to women whose illness and comprised nutritional state prohibits them from purchasing these items. GLO will also provide educational material on preparing easy healthy meals and snacks and tips on eating healthy.
These life changing programs provides multi-level professional training, "welcome home" baskets to women transitioning from shelters, half-way houses, and domestic violence homes into their own home, and a clothes depot to provide a professional wardrobe for job interviews and employment in varying professional environments and essential healthy items and education to assist women on the road to recovery or support during a terminal illness.
